New BOTOX® (and similar products) Treatment For Back Pain & Other Chronic Pain Conditions Patented Method Reduces Need For Back Surgery & Helpful For Stubborn Pain Conditions Dr. G. Blair Lamb of Burlington, Ontario, Canada is pleased to announce that a patent has been issued by the United States Government for his treatment method using BOTOX® and similar products for several common pain conditions. The patented method has been used successfully to a variety of pain problems including migraine headaches, whiplash, acute and chronic low back pain, neck pain, TMJ, carpal tunnel syndrome, tennis elbow, golfers elbow, some forms of osteoarthritis, herniated disks of the lower back and neck. The way this system works is that the botulinum toxin or similar paralyzing agent is injected into the deep spinal muscles. The effect is to force the relaxation of these deep spinal muscles that have been injured over time or by accident. The forced relaxation allows for the spine to actually heal. Many pain conditions are caused or aggravated by shortened and scarred muscles that "pinch" the nerve roots along the spine. In some pain conditions, these scarred muscles compress the vertebrae and disks of the spine and neck causing long-term damage. Building on Dr. Lamb's experience in pain medicine over the past decade, He observed dramatic benefits when using this technique that he developed. He has further refined the method that has now been patented in the United States, Canada, Austalia and is a new indication for BOTOX® in the United Kingdom. The patent was researched and co-authored by Grant D. Fairley. Dr. Lamb has used this method successfully on many patients who otherwise would be living with chronic pain or facing back surgery. Dr. Lamb is currently developing a training program that could be used by physicians around the world.
